Supraventricular Arrhythmias

Supraventricular arrhythmia causes irregular, too fast, or too slow heartbeats due to problems with the cells that initiate electrical signals. As the name indicates, these begin in the atria located above the ventricles. Various types include atria flutter, atrial fibrillation, sinus tachycardia, and atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia. These may present as palpitations, chest pain or pressure, dizziness, shortness of breath, etc. Its causes include thyroid disorders, smoking, alcoholism, pregnancy, lung diseases, heart diseases, too much caffeine, etc.
