Transient global amnesia is an unusual medical ailment characterized by an episode of a sudden loss of memory. Neither a new memory can be created, nor recent memory can be recalled during this period. It usually does not remain for more than several hours; very rarely, it may last for up to 24 hours. Although the exact cause is not clear, it may be caused by exercise, head injury, intercourse, stress, anxiety, migraine headache, etc.
