Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency

Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency is an inadequate posterior circulation of the brain supplied by the two vertebral arteries that fuse to form the basilar artery. Risk factors include age, gender, smoking, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, family history, genetics. Treatment includes reducing the risk factors, open surgical repair, and endovascular treatment.
