Abnormal Gastric Acid Secretion

When abnormal levels of gastric acid are secreted, it can cause abdominal discomfort, heartburn, bloating, diarrhea, decreased appetite, nausea, and vomiting. Having high levels of gastric acid secretion can increase the risk of developing a peptic ulcer, GERD, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
