Bartholin's Abscess

Bartholin is a gland on the side of the vaginal opening that secretes that secrets a fluid which lubricates the vagina. When the gland's opening is obstructed, the fluid can not exit the gland, leading to Bartholin’s abscess or cyst. It may appear as a lump around the vaginal opening, cause pain during intercourse, and cause discomfort while sitting or walking.
