Calyceal Pelvic Dilatation

The calyceal pelvic system involves the renal pelvis, major and minor calyces. Calyceal pelvic dilatation is caused due to retention of urine in the upper urinary tract. This is one common finding on the ultrasound scan performed during pregnancy.
