Complicated Grief Reaction

Complicated grief reaction is a condition in which a person is not able to tackle a feeling of grief or loss even after a considerable amount of time has passed. This reaction is also known as persistent complex bereavement disorder. Common symptoms of the condition include failure to accept the reality of loss, deep sorrow, numbness, detachment from other things and people, trust issues, lack of interest, and inability to live and enjoy a normal life. If not treated, complicated grief can progress into health issues like depression, anxiety, substance abuse, etc.
