Compound Nevus

Compound nevus is a benign condition that usually occurs in the dermo-epidermal junction and dermis and comprises melanocytes. It consists of light or dark brown nodules, round or oval in shape with 2 to 7 mm diameter and irregular borders. Monitoring th lesion is essential, and if it increases in size or develops symptoms, an excision biopsy is needed.
