Crystalluria

Crystalluria means crystals in the urine. The causes are dehydration and intake of certain medications. Crystalluria can result in kidney problems such as nephrolithiasis, nephrocalcinosis, and acute or chronic kidney impairment. Small crystals do not cause any issues, and larger crystals might get stuck in the urinary tract causing blockages. The most effective way to prevent crystalluria is by drinking more water and staying hydrated.
