Facial Nerve Damage

Facial nerve trauma causes defacement affecting the individual's physical and emotional health. It meddles with day-to-day activities like speaking, eating, drinking, making it hard to blink your eyes, and also ruins your facial expression. It occurs due to Bell's palsy, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, Lyme disease, trauma, iatrogenic injury, tumors of the skull, and neurological causes. Electroneurography and electromyography detect facial nerve damage. Treatment involves facial surgery, facial reanimation surgery, facial nerve repair.
