Febrile Seizure

A febrile seizure occurs in young and healthy children without any underlying neurological problem. Instead, they are convulsions that occur with fever. Symptoms include fever higher than 100.4 F, loss of consciousness and jerks in the leg, and fever. They are classified as simple and complex. Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen to reduce the fever and rarely, anti-convulsants to limit seizures are the preventive measures.
