Lisfranc injury means midfoot injuries, which occur due to breakage of the midfoot bones or tearing of the ligaments that support the midfoot. The lisfranc injury can be simple and complex. In a simple lisfranc injury, only one midfoot joint is injured, and many midfoot joints are injured in a complex type of injury.
