Mca-psv

Middle cerebral artery (MCA) doppler, is a type of ultrasound used to detect the blood flow PSA (peak systolic velocity) to the fetal brain. It is a non-invasive procedure that is usually performed to diagnose a rare problem in which there is an unequal distribution of blood to the brains of twins in the womb called TAPS (twin anemia polycythemia sequence). In anemia, the blood travels too fast. In polycythemia, the blood appears to travel too slowly.
