Norgestrel

Norgestrel is a medicine that prevents unwanted pregnancies (birth control pill). The drug stops a woman's egg from developing fully every month; as a result, they do not ovulate, preventing pregnancy. It is also used for hormone therapy for menopausal women. It contains progestin (synthetic steroidal progestin) and is also available in combination with estrogen.
