Oocyte Harvesting

During assisted reproductive procedures like in-vitro fertilization, the eggs (oocytes) are retrieved or harvested from the mature follicles in the woman's ovaries. This procedure is known as oocyte harvesting. The procedure is performed under anesthesia and is performed with the help of ultrasound imaging. After the egg is retrieved, it is sent to the fertilization lab to make the embryo.
