Post-menopausal Hirsutism

Postmenopausal hirsutism is a condition in which women after menopause experience excessive hair (dark and coarse) on the face, chest, and back. This male-like pattern of hair growth after menopause is due to an increase in male hormones such as testosterone (androgen excess) and a decrease in estrogen levels due to menopause.
