Tympanosclerosis

Tympanosclerosis is caused when the connective tissue of tympanic memebrane and middle ear become hyalinized and calcified. It can affect a person's hearing and results in white chalky patches on the middle ear. It is caused by atherosclerosis, long-standing otitis media, and cholesteatoma.
