Passing gas from the vagina is called vaginal flatulence or gas. This occurs when trapped air escapes the vagina, usually with a noise. Vaginal gas is harmless and occurs during exercise or sex. A vaginal fistula and weak pelvic floor muscles can also lead to vaginal gas.
