Amebic Liver Abscess

Entamoeba histolytica can cause infection in the liver leading to the formation of pus-filled abscesses known as amebic liver abscesses. The symptoms of the condition include; pain in the stomach or abdomen, fever, chills, cough, diarrhea, feeling weak, general malaise, and uneasiness. The treatment of an amebic liver abscess is done by medications like Metronidazole and Tinidazole.
