Chloroquine

Chloroquine is an antimalarial drug belonging to the amino quinoline group. Its lysosomotropic character is responsible for its antimalarial activity. Its side effects include appetite loss, muscle problems, blurred vision, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, facial twitching, metallic taste, and skin rash. It is also employed to treat amoebiasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
