Hair Follicle Keratinization

Hair follicle keratinization or hyperkeratinization is a disorder involving the cells inside the hair follicle. Here the process of desquamation, that is falling off of dead cells is interrupted, which results in increased binding of dead cells. This can lead to clogging of the sebaceous glands and infection.
