Peritonitis

Peritonitis means inflammation of the peritoneum, the membrane that lines the inner abdominal wall and covers the organs present within the abdomen. This is caused due to a bacterial or fungal infection. There are two types of peritonitis which include spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and secondary peritonitis.
