Thyroid Swelling

A swollen thyroid gland, which results in swelling in front of the neck, is called goiter. It can be caused due to iodine deficiency, autoimmune disease like Hashimoto's thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism, etc. Take adequate iodine, which is added to table salt, to prevent goiter.
