Professional Bio
Dr. Souhad Abdulhalim Lawand is an Ophthalmologist with 23 years of clinical experience. He completed his degree at Saint Petersburg, State Medical University, Pavlov. During his thesis, he worked at a Glaucoma department in a multidisciplinary hospital where he acquired vast knowledge in the surgical treatment of anterior chamber pathologies and treatment of chronic eye conditions such as Glaucoma and pathologies of the retina. He completed his MD and pursued his MS in Ophthalmology. After receiving a PhD in Ophthalmology in 2005, he enhanced his ophthalmology knowledge by addressing other eye pathologies such as refractive, dry, and retinal disorders. He worked as an ophthalmologist for ten years in different hospitals. Along with his primary responsibilities as an ophthalmologist and a surgeon, he continued to conduct clinical research to improve the treatment of various eye disorders. Currently, he is practicing at Lawand Teleophthalmology, Beirut Governorate, Lebanon.
