Corona Virus

Coronavirus is a deadly virus causing pneumonia and associated symptoms. It belongs to the Orthocoronovirinae subfamily. They are single-stranded enveloped RNA viruses. Under electron microscopy, they reveal electron spikes on their spherical surface, mimicking the solar corona. They have a lipid bilayer, membrane proteins, and nucleocapsid that protects the virus outside a host cell.
