Head Lice Infestation

Head lice are small, wingless, blood-sucking insects. They live on the hair and feed on the blood of the scalp. Head lice infestation occurs when your head touches the head of the lice-infected person. It is also spread through sharing personal items with head lice-infected persons. Preschool and elementary school children are at high risk of having head lice. The symptoms are extreme itchiness on the scalp and a feeling of something crawling in the head. It is treated by using Permethrin 1% lotion on the scalp.
