Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome

Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome is the term used to refer to the condition where there is an excess hormone. This occurs in women who take any form of hormone medication to stimulate egg development. In rare cases, OHSS may also occur during fertility treatments involving oral medications. Mild cases of OHSS may not require any medical intervention, but in more severe cases, hospitalization might be required.
