I am 41 years old. I have a BP of 150/100 mmHg. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall, and I weigh 194.00 Ibs. I have spondylosis and leg stiffness. I do not get time for walking or exercise, and my sleeping cycle is abnormal. I had an ECG, chest X-ray, and blood tests nine months ago. Kindly help.
The increase in blood pressure is likely secondary to your weight gain. I suggest you follow the following instructions:
1. Avoid fatty, oily, and a high-calorie diets. Follow a low-salt diet.
2. Monitor the blood pressure regularly, thrice a day for one week, then once or twice a week. If blood pressure persists more than 140/90 mmHg, consult a doctor and take the medications prescribed.
3. Do regular exercises like brisk walking for at least 30 minutes daily and five days a week, if possible.
4. Eat green leafy vegetables, fruits, and fish once or twice a week, and avoid meat. I also suggest you check your lipid profile and blood sugar.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
