Liver function test is used to check damage to the liver from infections and monitor liver side effects of medicines. This test checks the levels of liver enzymes like alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP). It also checks the levels of albumin and bilirubin.
