Achilles Tendonitis.

Achilles tendinitis is an injury to the achilles tendon caused due to overuse. Achilles is a tissue band that connects calf muscles to the heel bone. It is a common presentation in athletes when they suddenly run for a longer time with more intensity. There may be tendon rupture in severe cases that may need surgical correction.
