Achilles Tendonitis.

Achilles tendinitis is an injury to the achilles tendon caused due to overuse. Achilles is a tissue band that connects calf muscles to the heel bone. It is a common presentation in athletes when they suddenly run for a longer time with more intensity. There may be tendon rupture in severe cases that may need surgical correction. Pain and stiffness in the morning are the usual symptoms. Increase the physical activity slowly, make proper shoe selection, and do regular stretches and strengthening exercises.
