Drainage Of Abscess

A puss-filed blister is called an abscess. Abscesses are commonly treated through incision and drainage (I&D). Here, the abscess is wiped with a disinfectant and an incision is made in it to drain it. Packing material is inserted into the abscess for it to drain.
