I am taking tablet Atenolol 25 mg at night before going to bed for high blood pressure and for relief from anxiety. Also, I take on Eltroxin 25 mg and Eltroxin 50 mg on alternate days for the past two years. My cardiologist has recently prescribed Atenolol for my high blood pressure and anxiety. But I want to switch my Atenolol dose to the morning. Can I switch it? Kindly help.

Thank you for your query. I advise you to regularly check your blood pressure and also update it. Changing your medications to the morning has no interaction with Eltroxin (Levothyroxine) tablet. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Thank you for your query. I suggest you to switch to the morning dose tomorrow itself as it is safe after the night dose. Drinking caffeine is good but drinking alcohol has the possibility of getting cardiomyopathy, so kindly avoid it. Also, check your blood pressure in the morning and at night the following day when you take Atenolol in the morning and update me. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.
