About "High Eye Power"

High eye power is seen in pathological myopia, where an individual cannot focus far away things due to degenerative changes to the back of the eye. It may affect the eyesight, which cannot be corrected using glasses or contact lenses. High eye power of more than -6.00D is a risk factor for developing posterior vitreous detachment, retinal detachment, glaucoma, and cataract.
