Dr. Velusamy Madathupalayam Palansamy completed schooling at Perundurai and joined the medical career at the prestigious Stanley Medical College, in Chennai in 1960. After graduation, he joined the government service and served in various positions in and around Erode. As he had a passion for serving people in his native place, he started MNP Nursing Home in the year 1976 at Perundurai along with his life partner Dr.Daivanai. This hospital has served as a specialty center for women and child health and has given birth to more than 10,000 babies over the last 51 years.
