Hello doctor,

I am 51 years old. I have an ECG today as I have a high blood pressure of 160/90 mm of Hg. I have had a weakness for two days. I had undergone a treadmill test (TMT) and computed tomography (CT) angiography eight years before. The treadmill test (TMT) showed positive results, while the computed tomography (CT) angiography showed negative results. Currently, I am taking Angizaar 50 mg, Starcad 25 mg, Atrofit 20 mg, and Flumusa. Minor changes were observed. Hence I went for the Top-T test. It had a valuation of 0.003 ng. Please guide me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your ECG is normal. Top-T (Troponin-T test) is also negative. So the only issue you have is that of high blood pressure. You are taking medicines, which are fine. You can continue the medications. For blood pressure, if you are taking Angizaar 50 mg (Losartan Potassium), you can increase the dose to 100 mg daily. Before increasing the dose, try the following measures. Do Daily exercise for 30 minutes, mainly brisk walking. Take low sodium and high potassium diet. The DASH (Dietary approach to stop hypertension) diet is good for blood pressure. Reduce weight. Avoid stress and anxiety. Sleep adequately. At least six hours of uninterrupted night sleep and two hours of daily sleep are important. Do you have diabetes?
