Hello doctor,

I am seeking an opinion regarding my blood pressure. I have made a log for ten days with my home device. I am taking antidepressants tablets Buspar and Wellbutrin.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through the blood pressure and pulse rate chart (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Your blood pressure is above 140 mm Hg on only two occasions. May I know if you have any symptoms like headaches, giddiness, or perspiration?

I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health. Thanks.

Hi doctor,

I have not experienced any symptoms, as you mentioned. It is just that when I am angry or anxious, then rises to 150-155 mm Hg. However, after sometimes it returns to normal.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Whenever we are angry or stressed because of sympathetic overactivity, we get high systolic blood pressure and high pulse rate. It is a normal body response. Simultaneously, stress and anger are the most common cause of hypertension.

Diabetes and dyslipidemia go hand in hand with hypertension. Have you checked your blood sugar and lipid levels?

Is there any family history of hypertension?

I will be happy to help you further.

Wish you good health. Thanks.
